Commentary: Publication of findings from Jägala-Joa IV Mesolithic and Iron Age archaeological site. During excavations 6 square meter area was excavated which contained a Mesolithic fireplace and traces of burnt Iron Age constructions. A 25 m long burnt construction wall was found. The Stone Age fireplace contained pieces of bone and burnt hazelnut shells. The site is the oldest found in the Jägala river area and the find material consisted mostly of flint flakes and tools, with a significantly smaller amount of quartz.
